She married John H. Carter, and he preceded her in death.
She was a member of the First Church of God in Lawrenceville. She was the head of housekeeping at Red Hill Health Care Center. She worked for over 30 years cleaning at nursing homes.
Survivors include two daughters, Diane (Larry) White of Channahon, Ill. and Vonda (Mike) Bledsoe of McHenry, Ill; three sons, John (Melinda) Carter of Lexington, Ky., Jeff Carter and Charles Carter, both of Lawrenceville; one sister, Melva Gage of Pheonix, Ariz., one brother, Frank Catt of Califorina, seven sisters and three brothers.
