Marion, 89, of Lansing, passed away Thursday. Marion was the daughter of Earl and Stella Rector.

Marion was a member of the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church for over 50 years. She worked as a secretary and homemaker for 35 years. All will dearly miss a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend.

Marion was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Eugene; their infant son, Michael Earl; her brother, Theron; and her sister, Florence.

She is survived by children Thomas (Susan) Barnes of St Johns, MI and Linda (Victor) Cena of Mason, MI; five very loving grandchildren, Michael, Hayley, Angela, Shelby, Rebecca, who were her pride and joy; her very special nieces and nephews; and special family friend, Dick Ribby.

Also a heartfelt thanks to the wonderful people at Craft Care Home, you always made her smile. Lastly, a special thank-you Janet and Keri, for the care of her last days.

The funeral service was held Monday, January 24, 2011 at Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, Lansing, MI.
Arrangements by Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Mt. Hope United Methodist Church.
