Jennie S. Hoppe, 99, a resident of Sunny Ridge Healthcare Center for the last 11 years and formerly of rural Cleveland, died Friday, June 16, 1995 at Sunny Ridge.
The former Jennie Schreiber was born Jan. 14, 1896 in Town Meeme, Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, a daughter of the late Henry and Minna Riebenstein Schreiber.
Henry Hoppe and Jennie Schreiber were united in marriage on May 14, 1921 at St. John's United Church of Christ in Schwartzwald. Henry preceded her in death on March 17, 1970.
Jennie was a life-member of St. John's U.C.C. She enjoyed gardening and flowers.
Survivors of Jennie S. Hoppe include one son, Reuben (Arline) Hoppe, Howards Grove; two grandchildren, Sandra (Edward) Strauss, Sheboygan Falls and David (Amy) Hoppe of Sheboygan; three great-grandchildren, Dean, Sara and Darin Strauss. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Edwin, Paul and Roland Schreiber, and one sister, Anna Hanke.

A funeral service will be held at the Zimmer Funeral Chapel, 117 N. Wisconsin Drive, Howards Grove, on Monday, June 19, 1995 at 7:30 p.m., the Rev. Lloyd Fried, pastor of St. John's United Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery at Schwartzwald. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4 p.m. until time of services.
A memorial fund has been established to St. John's United Church of Christ in memory of Jennie S. Hoppe.
