Valentine Hahn, 73, passed away at 10 p.m. on Sunday at his farm home in Town Herman following a brief illness.
He was born March 11, 1871 in Town Meeme, the son of William and Katherine Hahn. He attended schools in Town Meeme and was confirmed at the St. John Evangelical church. On September 15, 1906, he was married to Miss Augusta Kruse of Town Mosel at that church by the Rev. Phillip Frohne.
The couple made their home on the present family farm following their marriage. The deceased served as clerk of Town Herman for seven years and school clerk in the township for 21 years.
He is survived by his wife and five sons, Hiram and Harvey at home, Warren in Milwaukee, Wallis? of Kiel and Ned of Town Meeme; four daughters, Mrs. C. B. (Verena) Moynihan of Chicago, Miss Valeria at home, Mrs. Melvin (Katherine) Berg of B__gram and Mrs. L. ?. (Alice)
Powers of Belmont, Calif; 13? grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Louis Kuhn of Town Herman and Miss Christiana, at home. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and four brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at St. John's Evangelical church in Town Herman. The Rev. William Schultz will officiate and burial will be made in the church cemetery. Sheboygan Press, Monday, January 26, 1948 P. 10
