ALVIN ECKARDT

Alvin Eckardt, 72, Route 1, Cleveland, died today at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital.
He was born July 16, 1912, in the Town of Herman, son of Louis and Emma Gutenberger Eckardt.
He attended Green Bay elementary school and Howards Grove High School.
On July 2, 1932, he married Rhoda Kuhn in Waukegan, Ill. The couple farmed on the homestead farm until December 1967, when he was employed with the Sheboygan County Highway Department until his retirement.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Gene of Sheboygan.
He was preceded in death by three brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. John United Church of Christ, Town of Herman. The Rev. Dean Roy Miller, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at Ahrens-Zimmer Funeral Home, Howards Grove, from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday, and at the church from noon until the time of services.
A memorial fund has been established in his name for St. John UCC.
