Professional Wrestler. Smith, who shot to fame wrestling as the British Bulldog in the World Wrestling Federation, was trained by the legendary Stu Hart. Father of Bret "The Hitman" Hart, and the late wrestler Owen Hart. Davey Boy Smith enjoyed life with the Hart Family in Calgary so much that he married Stu and Helen's youngest daughter Diana. And so another member was added to the Hart Foundation. Upon many injuries in the WWF, he followed Bret Hart to World Championship Wrestling. He couldn't match the fame he had in the WWF, and part-way through 1998, Bulldog injured his back, and was fired by WCW. After hurting his back on a trapdoor in the ring, a near fatal motorcycling accident, a bitter divorce from Diane, and spinal infection, he battled an addiction to prescription painkillers. After being fired from the WWF 1998, he was hoping to start a wrestling school before his sudden death Friday evening May 17. Davey was trying to make a comeback as a wrestling team with his teenage son Harry, 15. He died in the arms of girlfriend Andrea Hart (wife of his former brother-in-law, Bruce Hart) while vacationing in British Columbia.
