Ettie Mae Jefferies Hughes was my grandmother. She is not buried at Abingdon Creek Cemetery. Her body was moved in 1973 to Frederick Memorial Gardens to be placed by the body of her husband, John Elliot Hughes. The last time I was at Abingdon Creek, the tombstone was still there but
but her body was moved. There is a marker at FMG.
Her birth month is also incorrect at the church marker
Also, her death certificate has been amended to correct her name. The DC lists her as Eddie Mae and it was Ettie Mae. I have a copy if anyone is interested.
