Davis — Graveside services for Evelyn Bumgarner Sulcer will be held 2 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2011, at the Green Hill Cemetery in Davis with Brother Thomas Thompson officiating.



Evelyn was born November 28, 1926, in Hennepin, Okla., to John Stanford and Sue Elizabeth (Digby) Bumgarner. She died Tuesday, January 18, 2011, in Davis at the age of 84 years, 1 month and 20 days.



Evelyn graduated from Woodland High School in 1942. During WWII, she worked as a metal fabricator at a defense plant in the California shipyards. After returning to the Davis area, she worked as an Assistant Manager at Turner Falls Park and cooking at area eateries. In her later years she enjoyed sewing and doing arts and crafts. She was a member of the East Main Church of Christ in Davis.



Survivors include her daughter, Penni Dilbeck and husband, Carey of Springer; two grandsons, Scott Dilbeck and wife, Hillary of Las Vegas, Nev., and Matt Dilbeck of Denver, Colo.; two brothers, Bob Bumgarner and wife, Anita of Duncan and Dale Bumgarner of Hayward, Calif.; two sisters-in-law, Maxine Bumgarner of Washington and Marlene Maracin of California; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.



She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Glenn, Tom, Ralph and Jim Bumgarner; and two sisters-in-law, Florence and Mary Nell Bumgarner.



Services were entrusted to Hale's Funeral Home of Davis, Okla.
