Following a recent illness, Edith Estelle Carnathan Horn passed away December 15, 2009 at Harris Methodist Hospital in Stephenville, Texas. One of seven children, Edith was born to Hollis E. and Lillie Mae (Popchoke) Carnathan on January 22, 1923 in Soper, Oklahoma.


In 1945 she married the love of her life, Wallace Horn. They lived happily together on their farm in McKinney, Texas where they raised their loving son, Billy "Jack" Horn. In 2002 they relocated to Dublin, Texas, where she spent the remainder of her life.

Edith is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by one sister, Dottie Morris and husband, James of Houston, Texas; husband, Wallace Horn of Dublin; son, Jack Horn of Dublin; three granddaughters, Staci Boone and husband, Arnulfo of Dublin, Kelly Horn of Lake Jackson, and Jacklyn Horn of Dublin, as well as three great-grandchildren, Derek and Rilee Boone of Dublin and Nathaniel Hernandez of Lake Jackson.

Edith was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held at noon Friday, December 18, 2009, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
