IN MEMORY OF GRANDMA ADA "NONNA"
Ada was called "NONNA" by her grandchildren and most who knew her. According to her grandson, Robert, my husband, she knew very little English. They were always trying to learn to speak English better, and were so blessed to have come to the United States. Robert was about sixteen years old, when she passed away. He always talked about going to her home on East Front St., Monroe, Mi. every Sunday for dinner. They had a grape orchard in the back of their home, and always made wine. Everyone made wine back then. They served it with meals. He said they also had their own chickens, and she was an excellent cook. Later on in life, he acquired Nonna's large picture from his mother who always said she hid it in the closet, so she would not have to display it. We were so proud to hang that picture in our home. I still have it today.
REST IN HEAVENLY PEACE DEAR GRANDMOTHER.
