Kristal D. Smith, 69, died at 11:50 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011, at Belle Manor Nursing Home in New Carlisle. She was born Nov. 12, 1941.
She was married to Andrew W. Smith; he preceded her in death in 1999 and is buried in Maple Hill Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Ron Dillon of Botkins; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Telena Smith of Sanford, Fla. and Brian and Robin Smith of New Carlisle; a sister, Ruth Gilmore; a brother, George Kindell; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Kristal was preceded in death by an infant brother, Timothy Kindell.
She enjoyed clogging, ceramics and bowling. She was a member of the Troy Auxiliary Eagles 971.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar and Fraley Funeral Home, 507 W. Jefferson St., New Carlisle. The Troy Auxiliary. Eagles 971 will be present.
Burial will follow at the Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. If so desired donations may be made to the funeral home.
