Son of Isham McLamb & Elizabeth Tart

George McLamb, son of Isham McLamb, Sr. and Elizabeth "Betsy" Tart, was born 15 December 1823+ near Harnett Primitive Baptist Church and died 2 May 1892: George married first Elizabeth Ann Dawson who was born in 1832 and died 4 July 1885 aged 52, daughter of William Dawson and Mary Butler.

George served in Company I, 46th Regiment (Infantry), North Carolina Troops, enlisting at Raleigh in October 1864. He was captured near Petersburg, Virginia, in March
1865 and was imprisoned at Point Lookout, Maryland, until his release on 29 June 1865.

George married second 17 August 1891 in Johnston County, Elizabeth Virginia (Edgerton)(Holland) Dixon who was born 25 March 1834 and died 22 November 1915,
daughter of William Edgerton and Charlotte Pike. No children. She was previously married to Joshua Dixon who was born 29 February 1812 and she married fourth ? Smith. She is buried in the Edgerton Family Cemetery on S.R. 1336 in Wayne County.
