ALICE LOTZ, a former resident of the area, passed away December 16, 2008 at the Presbyterian Manor in Farmington, Missouri, at the age of 85 years.
She was born August 24, 1923 in Iron County, Missouri to the late Author Harold Jones and Nora Wilder Jones.
On October 16, 1941 she married Robert Lee Lotz, who preceded her in death February 11, 1989. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sara Fitzgerald, two sisters, and two brothers.
Surviving are: four daughters, Sue Suchman of Dallas, TX, Margaret Dorris of Sikeston, MO, Roberta Raney and Mary Robison, both of Ste. Genevieve, MO; one brother, Harold Jones of Arcadia, MO; two sisters, Maude Hodges of Arcadia, MO, and Martha Jones of Bismarck, MO; 15 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren; other family members, and a host of friends.
She worked many years as a Nurse Aide at The Baptist Home in Ironton, and was a member of Stouts Creek Baptist Church in Ironton at the time of her death.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 19th, at 10:00 AM at the White Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Frank Nash officiating. Interment will be in Arcadia Valley Memorial Park in Ironton. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 18th, from 5-8 PM at the White Funeral Home in Ironton.
