Per interview with relatives, she died from bladder cancer.
She had a glass eye as a result of an accident while chopping wood. A wood chip flew into her eye and damaged it.

Funeral services for Mrs. Armancy Wyatt, 87, were held today at Wright's Funeral Chapel. Burial was in Coleman Cemetery. She was born Jan. 31,1869, in Warren, Tenn., and died Tuesday in Cross Plains. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a Coleman resident since 1904. Survivors include four sons, Joseph Wyatt of El Paso, J. R. Wyatt of Fort Worth, Curtis Wyatt of Cross Plains, and Clyde Wyatt of Waco; four daughters, Mrs. Ethel Gabbert and Mrs. Lela Lawson, both of Adelanto, Calif., and Mrs. Dru Dunn and Mrs. J. T. Barnes, both of Coleman; five brothers, James Eckler Smith of Franklin, Theophilus Smith of Buffalo, Cleophus Harrison Smith of Wheelock, Dick Smith of Rusk and Murrow Smith of Goose Creek; one sister, Mrs. Orpha Peters of Baytown, 26 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
