Services for Dwight K Wells, 64, Boise, stepfather of Arthur Voorhis, Hailey, were held on Friday, July 1, at First United Presbyterian Church there, followed by interment at Dry Creek cemetery. Mr. Wells died June 29 in a Boise hospital of natural causes.
He was born at Kenosha, Wis., on March 17, 1919. He was raised and educated in the Midwest and served in the US Coast Guard during World War II. He came to Boise in 1950 and worked as a court reporter for federal and state courts until the time of his death.
He married Ethel T Voorhis on April 28, 1974m, in Boise.
His family listed his special interests as people, tennis and dancing.
He is survived by his wife of Boise; three sons, Robert Wells, Seattle, Kenneth Wells, Miami, Fla., and Kevin Wells, Boise; a daughter, Trisha Wheeler of Everett, Wash.; and two other stepsons, beside Arthur Voorhis, Hailey, who are Roy Crawford II, Palo Alto, Calif., and Barry Crawford, Silver Springs, Md.; two sisters, one brother and three grandsons.
The family suggested that contributions be sent to the Youth Tennis Foundation at the Boise Racquet and Swim Club.
