Joseph Magnani was an American professional bicycle road racer, riding for French and Italian teams between 1935 and 1948. He represented the United States in the 1947 world champion professional road race at Reims, France, finishing seventh. He had an amazing career, despite the interruption of his life by World War II and imprisonment by the Nazis in a concentration camp.
