Henry Fieselmann of Berger, the first fire chief of the Berger Volunteer Fire Department, died Saturday at Frene Valley Nursing Home, where he was a patient since May, 1977. He was 82 years old. Funeral services were held Monday morning at St. John United Church of Christ, Berger, with Rev. W.W. Kramme officating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Born April 21, 1897, at Berger, he was theson of Louis Fieselmann and wife, nee Whalicak Fritz. On Dec. 6, 1922 he married Agnes Bruening, who survives. Fieselmann, a veteran of WWI, was a retired farmwe. He was the Berger fire chief from 1953 to 1962. He aslo served as street and water commissioner for the city of Berger. He was a member of the St John UCC and served on the church council. He was a member of the Berger American Legion and the Modern Woodmen of America. Survivors beside his wife are a son, Harris Fieselmann, Berger; two daughters, Rose Marie Bollinger, Ferguson, and Anne Mae Owens, Berger; two sisters, Pearl Kase, New Haven, and Marcella Meyer, Union; and five grandchildren. A son Harold, a brother Roy, and two sisters, Cora Smith and Goldie Bruening, predeceased him.
