GRAYSON (Special) — Funeral services for Walter Ray Weeks, 49, of Grayson, were to be at 4 p.m. today at the Grayson Baptist Church with the Rev. Virgil Jones and the Rev. Lester Rhymes officiating.

Burial was to be in Welcome Home Cemetery here under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia.

Mr. Weeks died in Caldwell Parish Hospital in Columbia at 3 p.m. Wednesday after a lengthy illness. He was a house parent at the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home in Monroe for several years.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Gertrude Brown Weeks, Grayson; his mother, Mrs. Hettie Weeks, Grayson; one son, Elton Weeks, Grayson; four brothers, Marvin Weeks, Grayson, Laurie Weeks, West Monroe, Cecil Weeks, Bastrop, and Gerald Weeks, Clarks; three sisters, Mrs. Mildred Ellis, Grayson, Mrs. Ina Lois Grant, Sulphur, and Mrs. Elzie Clark, Walnut Grove, Miss.

Pallbearers were to be Charles Shell, Marshall Nelson, Alfred Hatten, Gene Dupree, Burl Palmer, Charlie Thompson.
