Deceased Name: Eldon Raymond Littlewood
Eldon Raymond Littlewood had a sweet reunion with Fay , his eternal companion on Saturday, September 09, 2000.
Eldon was born in Salt Lake City on March 22, 1922 to Raymond J. and Francis Annie Fitches Littlewood .
On June 3, 1955, Eldon and Fay Margaret Petrie were married and later sealed on January 16,
1967 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Eldon served in the U.S. Navy, serving in Pearl Harbor from 1942 to 1945.
He served a full-time mission in 1946 - 1948 for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Hawaiian Islands.
He retired after more than 30 years at Union Pacific Railroad as a Machinist.
Eldon is a faithful High Priest who served in many church callings including his favorite as a temple worker. He and Fay loved traveling to visit family in Canada and several states.
He is well known for his love for everyone but he has a special love for his four children and ten grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Nancy (Ron) Sandmire, West Valley City, Lani (Michael) Knowles, Murray, Paul (Carolyn) Littlewood , Chandler, AZ., Richard (Joyce) Littlewood , Richmond, UT.; sisters, Thelma Wahlberg and Marlene Fisher; brother, Ralph Littlewood ; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Fay ; two grandchildren, Amanda Jane Sandmire and Chaunte' Littlewood ; and his brother, Melvin.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, 10:30 am - 12:30 pm, at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road. Graveside services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Valley View Memorial Park, 4100 South 4400 West.
