April 16, 2009:

Virgie Mae White, age 85, of Fulton, Missouri, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2009 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri.

She was born November 15, 1923 in Bennett, Missouri, the daughter of the late George Richarf and Ollye Frances (Gibson) Pigg.

Virgie married Samuel Joseph White on June 6, 1941 in Van Buren, Missouri. He preceeded her in death in 1971.

She is survived by three sons, Manley White (Sara) of Fulton, Missouri, Leroy White ( Penny) of Fulton, Missouri and Franklin (Belinda) White (Belinda) of Jefferson City, Missouri; one daughter, Shirley (Odie) Raps of Mexico, Missouri; two brothers, Lester Pigg of Hawk Point, Missouri and Kenneth Pigg of Florissant, Missouri; one sister, Wilma Davis of Springfield, Missouri; ten grandchildren,;twenty great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; serveral nieces and nephews.

She was preceeded in death by her parents, husband, one grandson, one great-granddaughter, two brothers and one sister.

Virgie worked as a nurses aide at Callaway Hospital. She was an avid supporter of the Senior Center until her health failed her and an active member of Southside Babtist Church.

Funeral services Monday, April 20, 2009, at 11:00AM at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton, Missouri, Visitation Monday at 9AM until time of service at the funeral home. Interment in Callaway Memorial Gardens.
