Obituary of Mary Ellen Hemp
Abdominal Ailment Fatal to Castine Farm Resident--Aged Mother is Numbered Among Survivors--Plan Funeral Rites Tuesday.
Mrs. Mary Horine, 70, widow of the late Joseph Horine, a Butler township farmer, died at Reid Memorial Hospital, Richmond, Ind., Saturday night after a lingering illness. Death was reported due to a bowel obstruction.
Immediate survivors include an aged mother, Mrs. Catherine Howell, of near Castine; four sons, 16 grandchildren, one half-brother and two half-sisters. The mother is over 90 years old.
The children are Harrison Horine, Arcanum; Alva, Eaton; Charles, Castine; and George, New Madison.
Funeral services will be conducted from the residence west of Castine at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Sink will officiate. Burial will be made in the Otterbein cemetery.
