Edith was born on Sept. 23, 1913, to James K.P. Brown and Laura May (Baney) Brown in Cabool, Mo. She moved to Idaho in 1919. Edith married Charles A. Breshears on April 8, 1934.
Throughout her life, Edith was very involved in 4-H and participated in a lot of community events and Senior Services. She had many hobbies she enjoyed such as crocheting, sewing, quilting, gardening, fishing, camping and hunting.
Edith is survived by her daughter, Betty (Wes) Nickel; her son, Tom (Lonetta) Breshears, and daughter-in-law Arvylla Breshears; her 23 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Andrew; her twin infant daughters, Edith Charlotte and Charlotte Edith; her son, Leroy; one grandson, Calvin Nickel; one brother, Tom Brown; and two sisters, Violet Goodson and June Yanke.
The family would like to give special thanks to Tammy and Tom Thompson of Thompson House Assisted Living where she had been residing for the last 9 years. We would also like to thank the great nurses from Journeys Hospice.
A visitation will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 21, 2011, at Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Caldwell followed by her funeral service at 11 a.m., with her burial to follow at Canyon Hill Cemetery. Edith's online guestbook is available at www.flahifffuneralchapel.com.
