Mass of the resurrection for Frank Goetzinger, 78, of 102 North Carroll Street, Carroll, will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday at Holy Spirit Church by the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Leo Lenz, V.F. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Mr. Goetzinger died at St. Anthony Regional Hospital Wednesday morning, Feb. 26, after a short illness.
Friends may call at the Twit Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Thursday. Rosary recitations will be at 3 p.m. by the Legion of Mary and also at 8 and 8:45 p.m.
Mr. Goetzinger was born Aug. 31, 1896, at Roselle, a son of Nichols and Elizabeth Friedman Goetzinger. He received his education at Sacred Heart School, Templeton, and lived in the Templeton area until moving to Carroll in 1947. He was employed here at Brenny's Market until his retirement.
His marriage to Kathryn Bawek, took place in Stacyville July 31, 1918.
Surviving with his wife are a son, Norbert, of Indianapolis, Ind.; two daughters, Mrs. Melvin (Bernice) Hausman of Carroll and Mrs. Raymond (Bernadette) Van Zile of Sioux City; 14 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; and a brother, Bernard Goetzinger of Portsmouth.
Three sisters and six brothers preceded Mr. Goetzinger in death.
He was a member of Holy Spirit Church and the Holy Name Society of the parish.
