Bear River City, UT – Dwight Riley Anderson, 84, passed away January 8, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family in Bear River City, UT. He was born August 24, 1926 to Clarence LeRoy and Martha Jorgensen Anderson. He graduated from Box Elder High School while training at Camp Roberts, California during WWII. He served overseas in the Phillipines and then Japan. He married Gay Nell Killpack October 3, 1951 in the Logan LDS Temple. They served as officiators in the Ogden Temple as well as in the Montana Billings Mission during 1989 -1990. She died November 27 1992. He married Mary Merle Holmgren in 1995.

Dwight was a life-long farmer. He was as member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Gay Nell, 7 Brothers and 4 Sisters.

Surviving are his wife: Mary Merle, children: Mark Dwight (Carol), Annette (Terry) Jensen, Jennifer (Larry) Morris; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Also surviving are his step-children: Shauna (John) Oyler, Suzy (Mike) Kessler, Shelley (Bob) Packer and 15 step-grandchildren and 17 Step-great grandchildren.

The family would like to give special thanks to Lori and the Integrity Hospice Staff for their kindness and care given to Dwight. Family request donations be made to Integrity Hospice

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 15, 2011, 12:00 Noon at the Bear River LDS Chapel 5870 North 4700 West, Bear River City, UT. Friends may call Friday, January 14, 2011 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home 111 North 100 East, Tremonton, UT and at the Church Saturday from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. prior to the funeral services. Interment will follow at the Bear River City Cemetery where Military Honors will be accorded.
