Mrs. Alma E. Brink, 84, of Estherville died Thursday, Feb. 16 in Holy Family Hospital.

Services were held Tuesday, Feb. 21 in the First Christian Church in Estherville. Dr. Robert Kunz officiated. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery under direction of the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home.

Alma Elizabeth was born May 8, 1904 in Alton, the daughter of John and Ida (Mulder) Jansen. SHe attended country schools near Alton, Morningside College in Sioux City and the University of Iowa, Iowa City. She married Waldo Brink Jan. 1, 1926 at Elk Point, S.D. The couple moved to Estherville in 1932. Mr. Brink operated a service station and Mrs. Brink taught school for the Maple Hill and Estherville school districts. Mr. Brink died Nov. 2, 1972.

Mrs. Brink was a member of First Christian Church, Estherville and the American Legion Auxiliary of which which she was past president.

Survivors include two sons, Rodney Brink and his wife Joyce of Ames, and Paul Brink and his wife, Helen of Starthmore, Pa; two brothers, Raymond Jansen of Carmichael, Calif., and Bernard Jansen or Fair Oaks, Calif., and one sister, Edith Erck of West Sacramento, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and two brothers.
