"Green, Ida Mae Wolford
102, of Phoenix passed away on January 10, 2011. She was born August 28, 1908 in Clapham, New Mexico to Theodora (Dora) (Garcia de Noriega) and William Wol ford and was one of their 12 children. Ida Mae married Josephus Green (a.k.a Robert McBride) in 1926 and they had four children. She is survived by her son William Green(Kathy) of Dewey, AZ and her daughter, Juanita Martin of Phoenix; her daughter Clara Burns and son Gardiner Green preceded her in death. Ida Mae was a descendent of one of the founding families of New Mexico dating back to the 1500's. Partially paralyzed for most of her adult life, she was lovingly cared for by her daught er, Juanita, for over 40 years and had a wonderful long life. Her family, friends and neighbors can attest to her independent character and will fondly remember her spontaneous singing. Grandma Ida will be dearly missed by her 10 grandchildren; Larry Lara-dec. (Betty), Robert Lara-dec. (Eileen), DeDe Figlia, Pam Green Nazario, John Martin (Susie), Joseph Martin (Mary), Maria Martin Anderson, Margaret Glomb (Chris), Mark Martin and David Martin (Marilyn) and her 39 great-grandchildren, 32 great, great grandchildren and 7
great, great, great grandchildren. A funeral Mass, preceded by visitation and
Rosary, will be celebrated on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 9:30 AM at St. Francis Xavier Church, 4715 N. Central Ave., Phoenix, AZ. Burial at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery will be scheduled at a future date."
