Death of a Venerable lady.
We regret to chronicle the death of that noble Christian lady, Mrs. Julia E. Oakley, who died suddenly of appoplexy yesterday morning at 11 o'clock, at the residence of her sister Mrs. Van Bokkelin, on Second street between Dock and Orange. Mrs. Oakley was aged 75 years and has been a resident of Wilmington for many years, having come here from Eastern North Carolina to live with her sister, after the death of her husband, the late Daniel Oakley. The deceased lady was a devoted and consistent member of Grace M. E. Church, and was noted for charity and benevolence. The funeral will take place to-morrow morning at 11 o'clock at Grace church.
