MUNCIE--Katherine M. (Gruwell) Bebout, 90, of Muncie, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday at Ball Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Muncie, the daughter of William and Merrill (Lycan) Stanley. Katherine attended Muncie Central High School.
She was a manager for Picture Island and also worked at Gruwell Furniture, retiring in 1989. Katherine was a member of Full Gospel Temple. She was well known as a good cook, best known for her homemade noodles and pies.
Katherine was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Derwood Gruwell and George Bebout; step-son, Jerry Bebout; granddaughter, Cheri Hartman; and two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Full Gospel Temple, 212 W. 7th St. Muncie, IN 47302 with Pastor Denny Helton officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Parson Mortuary and one hour prior to services on Friday at the church.
