FORT VALLEY- Nancy "Rose" Land Benton, 73, died Friday, January 14, 2011. Graveside services will be held at 1P.M. on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at Oaklawn Cemetery with Rev. Ted Worley officiating.
Born in Macon to the late James and Ola Durden Land, Mrs. Benton was retired from KMart and attended Vineville Christian Towers.
Survivors include her children, Shirley Smith (Danny) of Fort Valley, Connie Humphrey (Timothy) of Roberta, Terry Lynn Gilbert of Kathleen and Robert Richard Gilbert (Reba) of Perry; grandchildren, Christopher Gilbert (Julia) of Macon, Elizabeth Herndon of Atlanta, Robert Herndon (Tatiana) of Atlanta, and Daniel Gilbert (Candice) of Louisiana, and six great grandchildren.
