Eula Mae Wilmoth, age 88, died Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Dosher Memorial Hospital in Southport.

Mrs. Wilmoth was born January 18, 1923 in Southport, North Carolina, daughter of the late Afton Westcott Smith, Sr. and Georgia Evelyn Carrier Smith. She was a faithful member of Southport Baptist Church where she taught the Pre-School Sunday School class for 65 years. Mrs. Wilmoth was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Clarence Wilmoth, daughter Linda Wells, son Joseph Darrell Wilmoth, and sister Evelyn Dosher.

Survivors include three children, Eula Mae Franck and husband Cecil of Southport, Edythe L. Crocker and husband Donald of Grimesland and Joseph Wayne Wilmoth of the home; daughter-in-law Karen Wilmoth of Wilmington; brother Afton Wescott Smith, Jr. and wife Edythe of Southport; six grandchildren Frances Price, Molly Gemyrek, Camille Deruise, Karen Harding, Pam Henderson, and Sam Wells; and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday, January 21, 2011 at Southport Baptist Church with Reverend Jason Bland officiating. Burial will follow in Northwood Cemetery, Southport.

Pallbearers will be Donny Henderson, Donnie Price, Sam Wells, Mark Southerland, Bill Delaney, and Woody Sherrill.
