Richard Edwin Swan, "Rick", passed away at his home on December 16, 2010. Rick was born in Houston, Texas on December 21, 1945 to Mildred and Julius Swan. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Jeanette Swan. Daughter, Laura Harvell and husband Jerry of Katy, Texas; brother, Ron Swan and wife Val of Webster, Texas; sister, Charmaine Swan of Greenville, South Carolina. Godchildren, Michael and Jennifer Hernandez and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, "special"greatnieces, greatnephews and friends. Rick is a retired Director of the Pasadena Livestock Show and Rodeo Silver Spur Club. He was very active with the Cal Farley's Boys Ranch alumni and Rick was one, "who never knew a stranger". Rick served his country as a Navy Sea Bee. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 19, 2010 at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin in the chapel of Forest Park Lawndale Funeral home at 2:00pm, Monday, December 20, 2010 officiated by Rev. Don Kidd. Burial will follow in the cemetery of Forest Park Lawndale. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that a donation be made in Rick's memory to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch P.O. Box 1890 Amarillo, TX 79174.
