RUSSELL-- Vesta B. , of Tulsa, passed away April 16, 1998 at age 80. She was born July 6, 1917 in Mountainburg, AR, the daughter of William and Amy Catherine Smith. She married Wilson A. Russell on June 14, 1937. She was an active member of First Baptist Church, Tulsa and followed Jesus as her Lord and Savior. She was predeceased by: her husband; her parents; 2 brothers and an infant son, Charles. She is survived by: her children, Mrs. Joanne Goers and her husband, Mike of Hurst, TX and William J. Russell and his wife, Debra of Stillwater, OK; her grandchildren, Mrs. Jamie Bigbey of Covington, OK, Mrs. Rebecca Upchurch of Memphis, TN and David Russell of Atlanta, GA and Travis and Kendra Latham of Stillwater, OK; 8 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Service will be held 2 p.m., Monday, April 20, 1998 at Moore's Southlawn Chapel with interment at Floral Haven Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made in her name to First Baptist Church, Tulsa. Moore's Southlawn Chapel, 663-2233.
