Funeral service for Glenda Faye Barnhill Schmidt, 71, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 7, 2011 at the Plainview Mennonite Church.
Glenda Faye Barnhill Schmidt was born October 23, 1939 in Chickasha the daughter of Coleman V. and Grace (Romo) Barnhill. She died January 4, 2011 at her home.
Glenda lived in the Chickasha area most of her life and attended Chickasha Public Schools.
She was a former employee of Grady Memorial Hospital and Southern Plains Medical Center.
Glenda was a member of the Plainview Mennonite Church.
She was preceded in death by: Her parents: C.V. "Barney" and Grace Barnhill, 1 sister: Wilma Barnhill.
Survivors include: Husband: Clayton Schmidt of the home, 3 sons: Verlon Schmidt and wife Bernice of Rush Springs, OK, Carl Schmidt and wife Debbie of Chickasha, OK, Bruce Schmidt and wife Gwen of Helena, OK, Sister: Leona McCool of Blanchard, OK, 7 grandchildren: Benjamin Schmidt, Marshall Schmidt and wife Teresa, Graylon Schmidt, Garrett Schmidt, Caleen Schmidt, Laelle Schmidt and Danielle Schmidt, 1 niece: Kimberly Ulin and husband Randy of Blanchard, OK, 1 nephew: Bryce Beaty and wife Julie of Orlando, Florida.
Interment will be in the Plainview Mennonite Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
