Mrs. Herman Roe, wife of the editor of The Northfield News, died shortly before midnight Monday night, November 18, of pneumonia, contracted from Spanish influenza. She had been ill a week. Mrs. Roe was a talented musician. Her maiden name was Anna Kirkeberg and her parents lived at Cummings. She graduated from the music department of St. Olaf College in 1908, the same year that Mr. Roe was graduated. For several years Mrs. Roe taught music at the college. Mrs. Roe is survived by three young children. Mr. Roe is a member of the Board of Managers of the Minnesota State Fair and for several years was secretary of the Minnesota Editorial Association.
