He was born in Gallitzin, son of the late Ralph and Carmella (Capotosti) Bozella. He married Josephine Skupien on Sept. 3, 1956.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Andrea (George) Pyo of Cresson; three grandchildren: Amber (Anthony) Lipple and George T. and Maria Pyo; a great-granddaughter, Caroline Lipple; four sisters-in-law: Rose Grillo Skupien of Cresson, Peggy Skupien of Gallitzin, Ruth Skupien of Gallitzin and Della Skupien of Duncansville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Special Agent Denis Bozella, in 1989; two brothers: Alfred and William; five sisters: Ester Dallesandro, Clara Ross, Catherine Zandy, Mary Fabbri and Josephine Sprouse; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Frank (Dorothy) Skupien, Charles (Wanda) Skupien, John (Elda) Skupien, Julius Skupien, Leo Skupien, Joseph Skupien, Louise (Dail) McAleer and Michael (Alice) Koeck.
Tommie was a 1942 graduate of Gallitzin High School. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of WWII, and he worked as a foreman for Conrail, retiring in 1983. He was a member of St. Demetrius Chapel, and he also belonged to the Gallitzin American Legion and was a former member of Gallitzin VFW.
Tommie enjoyed golfing and bowling.
Friends will be received from 2 to 5 and 6 to 9 p.m. today at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church St., Gallitzin, where a vigil service will be held this afternoon. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011, at St. Demetrius Chapel, the Rev. Albert Ledoux as celebrant. Committal will be at St. Mary Cemetery.
