She married Charles Hugh Reading on December 2, 1900 in Fannin County, TX; they were the parents of Frederick Douglas and Exa Viola Reading. She married James Robert Lindsey on February 26, 1906 in Kelsey, TX. They were the parents of nine children, including Joseph Neher, Edna Francis, James Pratt, Ammon Joel, Jerome Boyd, Effie Delila, Annie LaVee, and twin sons, Odell and Ollie Lindsay.
