Eveline Matilda Gray was born on August 1, 1873 in Tilbury East, Chatham-Kent, Ontario, Canada English [Ontario, Canada Births, 1832-1916] and died on May 23, 1949 in North Allis Township, Ocqueoc, Presque Isle County, Michigan [Michigan, U.S., Death Records, 1867-1952].
Eveline was the daughter of Andrew Grey (1843-1931) and Rebecca Malott (c1845- ).
Notice on the birth record I'm attaching that her first name is spelled on the record as Evelyn vs Eveline but it appears she went with the spelling of Eveline so that's what I'm going with. The record also gave her middle name of Matilda and confirmed info shared with me that she was born in Tilbury East vs Camden.
Per the 1900 census, Eveline's family arrived in the United States in 1883. However, the 1920 census indicates they arrived in 1872 but the 1930 census indicates 1875. So what year is correct, we'll probably never know.
Eveline married Peter Alexander Jarvis on 23 March 1891 in Michigan. They had 12 children that I know of:
Josephine Lucy, Ellen 'Ella', Peter A., Clara M., Ruth A., Andrew Earl, Sadie B., Chester C., Joseph Elmer, Roy, Hazel and Elias.
In 1900, Peter and Eveline were living in Case Township, Presque Isle County, Michigan (per census). They lived in Ocqueoc, Presque Isle County, Michigan when the 1910, 1920, 1930 and 1940 censuses were taken.
