Lucy Bowman was married in Cavendish, Windsor, Vermont in 1791 to Jonas Morse. Jonas as the son of Joseph and Lucy (Whittemore) Morse who was born in Holden, Worcester, Massachusetts 27 October 1770; baptized there 18 June 1775; died in South Bainbridge, Chenango, New York 15 August 1830.

They moved to Landaff, Grafton, New Hampshire about 1805; back to Cavendish by 1808 until after 1815 when they moved to Chenango County, New York.
