She was born July 29, 1907. A daughter of Hal Woodside and Ethel Evans. Below is her obituary that is from the Springfield News Leader on May 22, 1979.

Memorial services for Miss Virginia Woodside, 71, Springfield, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Jewell Windle Funeral Home, with Father Carl Wilke officiating. The body will be cremated. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery in West Plains.

Miss Woodside died Monday morning in St. John's Regional Health Center after a short illness.

Miss Woodside, an invalid from birth, was a writer of children's stories and poems. She attended Drury College, and was a member of the PEO, Penwomen and the Episcopal church.

Survivors include her sister, Miss Ann Woodside, of the home.
