Miss Marcella Clemens Weigler Dies

Miss Marcella Clemens Weigler, the 18-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Weigler of Kolher street, died Saturday night at the family Home, shortly after 7 o'clock following a two week's illness which developed into peronitus. Miss Weigler had complained of a pain in her side for sometime, but only for tha past two weeks had been confined to her home and under the care of a physician. During the last few days, her condition became critical, gradually weakening her until the end came.

Miss Weigler was a member of the clerical force of the Luly Drug Store at Third and Belle streets. She was possessed of a pleasing personality and had a large circle of friends. While a number of her friends knew she was ill, none of them realized that her condition was so critical and the news of her untimely death came as a complete shock.

In addition to her parents, she leaves to mpurn her death nine brothers and sisters all of this city.

The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Elm street Presbyterian church of which she was a member, and burial will be in Oakwood cemetery.

The funeral of Miss Marcella Clemens Weigler, who died Saturday night at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Weigler, on Kohler Street, following a two weeks illness, was held yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Elm St Presbyterian Church, with a large gathering of friends and relatives. The Rev. J. G. Reynolds officiated. The members of Miss Weigler's Sunday school class sang several hymns. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery and the floral offerings were numerous and beautiful.

Following were the pallbearers; Eugene Sallier, Elmer Stringer, John Matthey, John Brockmeier, Leonard Hinman and Robert Shaw.

Among out-of-town relatives who attended the services were Mr. and Mrs. John Weigler, Mr. and Mrs. John Rushing, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Williams, Mrs. Mollie Ficker, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Williams, Mrs. Dave Stoddard and Mrs. Elizabeth Williams, all of Mount Olive; Mr. and Mrs. James Thornton or Litchfield, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Ficker and Mr. and Mrs. William Ficker of Decatur. A number of friends also attended from Staunton.
