Eric Adolf Nord was the third of five children born to Per Erik Nord and Margta Olsson in Sweden. He came to the US in 1903 with his family. In WW I, he served as a Corporal in the Home Guards of Anchorage, Alaska. On January 5, 1916 he married Olga Annett Frisk. Two sons were born to this union, Russel and Robert. Russel was killed in action during the battle of Saipan. Erik Adolf Nord built and founded a mill work firm in Everett, WA that grew into one of the world's largest wood door manufacturing companies. The E.A. Nord Co went bankrupt and was sold in 1986 due to labor union disputes.
