Benjamin Butler Anderson was the son of Samuel Anderson and Margaret McBath. Benjamin married Minnie Ida Ebbert on Aug. 16, 1891. They had six children: a son who died at birth (Dec 3, 1892), Gracie Pearl (Dec 21, 1893), Russell Howard (Mar 19, 1896), Benjamin Theo (Jan 1, 1902), George Washington (June 6, 1907), and Coral Corrine (Sep 21, 1911).

Benjamin Butler Anderson was born 12 Aug 1867, in Blount Co., Eastern Tennessee. He came to Illinois in 1869 with his parents, Samuel and Margaret Anderson, and lived in Cumberland County for two years before moving to Grove Township, Jasper County.
Here he made his home for more than 80 years where he was well known as Bud. On 16 Aug 1891, he married Minnie Ida Ebbert, who preceded him in death in Sep 1951, after celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary.
To this union were born six children, of whom five survive: Gracie Pearl (Mrs. Charles M. Strole) of Noble; Russell H. of Cleveland, OH; Ben T. of Collinsville; George W. of Atlanta, GA; and Coral Corrine (Mrs. Carl A. Mitchell) of Newton.
At the age of 86 years, 5 months and 1 day he passed from this life on 13 Jan 1954 at Olney.
