Sharp officiating. Burial was in
the Sunset Memory Gardens
Mausoleum in Kokomo.
She died a t 8:30 a.m. Tuesday,
Oct. 6,1976, in St. Joseph Hospital
where she had been ill since
June.
Born Nov. 24, 1919, in Logansport,
she was the daughter of
Paul and Mable (Fuller) Randolph.
She was married in 1937 to
Ernest Samuels, who died in 1963.
She was married in 1975 to
Woodrow Bates, who survives.
Mrs. Bates was formerly
employed by Mid West Plating.
Other survivors are a
daughter, Mrs. Larry (Wanda)
Hunt of Delphi; two sons, Lt.
Jack Samuels of Chanute AFB
and Norman Samuels of
Kokomo; her mother Mrs. Mable
Doyle of Kokomo; three stepdaughters,
Mrs. John (Joan)
Kellar of Indianapolis, Mrs. Don
(Judy) Overton of Russiaville
and Mrs. William (Jean)
Thompson of Sawyer AFB, Mich;
a step-son, Jack Bates, of
Kokomo; four brothers, Paul,
Charles, Robert, and Gerald
Randolph, all of Kokomo; seven
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
