Lewis Wilson, son of Festus and Mary Ellen Youst was born July 3, 1877, in Monongalia county, W.VA, and grew to manhood in that vicinity.
He was married to Addie Shriver Jan. 16, 1899. To this union the following daughters were born:
Mary at home, Lillie Neighbors of Marshalltown,Ellen Condra and Lela Radcliff of Seymour and Thelma DeVore of Jerome.

Lewis came to Iowa March 12, 1909, and went to farming as long as his health permitted. He was stricken with arthritis several years ago. He gave his life to Christ at an early age and joined the Methodist church at Seymour.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, his father and mother, and six sisters and one brother,
He leaves to mourn his passing His loving wife, Addie, and the following daughters, Mary, Lillie, Ellen, Lela and Thelma, also two Sisters and several nieces and nephews of West Virginia.

There also are 14 grandchildren whom he loved dearly.
He was a loving husband and father and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Attending the rites from West Virginia were his sister, Mrs. Belle Henderson; a niece, Mrs. Goldie Barth, and two nephews, Glen Henderson and Paul Salisbury.

The Rev J. C. Turner conducted the funeral at the Seymour Methodist church Friday, March 1 , at 2 p.m. Burial was in the Promise City cemetery. Milton Albertson sang the requested hymns, accompanied by Mrs. E.W. McNabb. The family had requested no floral tributes.

Pallbearers were Miles Snider Keith DeVore, Kenneth DeVore,
Lawrence DeVore, Leslie DeVore and Everett Mabee.
