The son of William B. and Elizabeth J. Bailey of Virginia.

Hayden served in the Union Army. A private serving in the Kentucky 20th Infantry, Company K. Enrolled October 25, 1861. Mustered in January 2, 1862, Smithland, Kentucky.

Friday, September 9, 1904
Mr. Hayen E. Bailey, a highly respected citizen of Dublin neighborhood died Tuesday at his home of consumption. Burial at Willis Graveyard.

WILL OF HAYDEN E. BAILEY

I Hayden E. Bailey of Graves County, Ky. of the age of 60 years, of sound mind and memory, do make, publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in the manner following.
First, it is my will that all my just debts and liabilities be paid including burial expenses and etc. Second, where as I have deeded to my daughter Adah B. Albritton about 25 acres of land more or less as a advanced payment in my estate valued by me at $445.00, this made the 24th day of February 1904 and whereas my son O. W. Bailey has paid her $75.00 as a further advance. It is my will this 25 acres of land and the $75.00 paid by my son shall be all she shall receive of my estate either in personal property or real estate. Third, whereas my son O. W. Bailey has paid to my daughter Daisey Janes, $520.00 as a advance for her portion in my estate. it is my will that the $520.00 paid by him to her shall be all she shall receive of my estate of either real property or personal property. Fourth, whereas my daughter Nell Moore, who is now deceased was a mother of four. First, it is my will that my son O. W. Bailey, pay to the oldest child named Cloisey Moore, $130.00, when she arrives at the age of 21 years. Second, for him to pay to the second oldest child named Delbert Moore $130.00 when he arrives at the age of 21 years. For him to pay the third oldest child named Ina Moore, $130.00, when he arrives at the age of 21 years. Fourth, for him to pay to Ramon Moore, $130.00, when he arrives at the age of 21 years. But in case, if any one or more of these children named shall die without issue, that he pay to the surviving ones that amount that would have been paid to that one and this shall be their portion in my estate in both real property and personal property. Fifth, whereas, I have deeded to my son about 65 acres of land as an advanced payment in my estate, this deed made and adknowleged by me on the 24th day of February 1904 and whereas my son O. W. Bailey has paid to my daughter Adah B. Allbritton $75.00 and to my daughter Daisey Janes $520.00 and is to pay to each of the minor heirs of my daughter Nell Moore $130.00 without interest. It is my will that he should have all the balance of my property in both real and personal property and lastly, I do hereby nominate and appoint my son O. W. Bailey as my executor of this my last will and testament without bond. In witness whereof, I have here unto set my hand and seal this 3rd day of March 1904.
