Trudy (Fox) Gromiller, 77, of Easton, Conn., died Sun., Jan. 9, 2011. One of seven sisters, Trudy was born to Frank & Susan (Gavigan) Fox, who had emigrated from Ireland. Prior to her marriage in February 1957, she was employed at Children's Hospital, Boston, MA by the chairman of the American Board of Surgery. Survived by husband, James W. Gromiller; and 4 children: James P. & wife, Maureen S., of Hollidaysburg; Nancy G. Newhams & husband, Thomas H., of Chesapeake, VA; Andrew B. & wife, Christine Z., of McAllister, MT and Matthew J. of Easton, CT; 10 grandchildren: Jacob L., Aaron F., Lewis A., Zion I., Sachem C., Apollo I., Isaac F., Tyrone W. Gromiller and Kevin T. and Margaret M. Newhams; sisters: Claire F. Sloan of Ridgefield, CT, and Sister Teresa of Avila, who was accepted into the Missionaries of Charity by Mother Teresa. Predeceased by sisters: Mary T. Fox, Margaret F. Buckley, Ann F. Buckley and Susan F. Glennon. During their marriage the Gromillers resided in Erie (twice), Rotterdam, NY; Woodcliff Lake, NJ and Danville, IL, before relocating to Easton. Interment in Gromiller family plot at Green Lawn Cemetery, Hollidaysburg. Plank, Stitt & Stevens Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg.
