HATTIE FLORENCE HURT IS DEAD AT MABSCOTT;
WAS ILL FOR TWO YEARS


Hattie Florence Hurt, 79, of Mabscott, died at 6:15 p.m. yesterday at her residence following an illness of two years. Death was attributed to old age and complications.

Born in Giles County. Va., March 23, 1871, she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Julia Houchins Wilburn. She was a member of the Methodist Church and spent most of her life in Raleigh County.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.F. Hunt in 1934.

Survivors include three sons, Fred, of Beckley; Basil and Lution Hurt, both of Detroit, Mich.; two sisters, Mrs. Bertie Farley, of Beckley and Mrs. Alma McMillion, of Beckley: three brothers, Claude Wilburn, of Beaver, Willie Wilburn, of Middleport, O., and Ed Wilburn, of Beckley, and two grandchildren.

The body will remain at the Calfee Funeral Home pending completion of arrangements.

Fredrick Arnold Hurt (1909–1971)
Robert Lee Hurt (1912–1921)
