The friends of Hallie B. Prince were shocked last Sunday to hear of his death at Belfast, Ga. He was a member of Conway Lodge No. 90 Ancient Free Masons and the telegram was sent to members of that order. The remains arrived here last Monday on the afternoon train where the body was taken in charge by the lodge. The members of the lodge accompanied the remains down the river by boat to Peach Tree, and thence to Socastee Church where he was laid to rest with Masonic ceremonies.

He was a young man of bright promise and at the time of his death held a lucrative position with a large lumber company at Belfast. He had no wife or children but the bereaved parents have the sympathy of all.

Messrs. G. B. Jenkins, H. L. Buck, W. L. Bryan, W. P. Vick, W. H. Chestnut and W. H. Powell acted as pallbearers.
