Johnie Rowland, of this place, aged about 17 years was drowned in the Maumee River near Carr's Mill Sunday about 10 o'clock. Johnny was a good boy and well liked by all who knew him. His death was a shock to the community. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 o'clock at the ME Church east of town, after which he will be laid to rest in the Beaver Creek Cemetery. His bereaved parents have the sympathy of the community.
