Lauren Joanne Lennon was born July 5, 1947 in Fort Dodge. She attended grade school at Sacred Heart and graduated from Saint Edmond High School in 1965. After graduation she attended Iowa Central Community College where she received secretarial training. On April 23, 1966 she was united in marriage to Terry Lee at Sacred Heart Church. The couple then established their home in Fort Dodge. Laurie was first employed with Coats Manufacturing. In 1978, she and Terry opened the Tole Bridge Arts and Craft store. Laurie later worked for Celotex, Fort Dodge Animal Health, and for the City of Fort Dodge all in administrative assistant positions.

Laurie loved life. She was inspiration to us all, a friend to the oppressed, a hero to those who were fighting cancer, and the rock of her family. Laurie also loved animals, painting, nature, and playing the piano. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
